A PLACE TO ASK THE QUESTION
Some questions lead to answers. Others lead to more questions.
What If . . . ? is a place to explore possibilities, challenge assumptions, and follow ideas wherever they lead.
Not every idea explored here is something I believe. Not every question will lead somewhere, and some ideas may turn out to be completely wrong. That's okay. Asking questions, examining evidence, considering different possibilities, and being willing to reconsider what we think we know are all part of learning.
Some questions will be practical. Some will be about the systems we depend on and the way we live. And some may wander pretty far down the rabbit hole.
The point isn't to have all the answers. It's to be willing to ask the question: What if . . . ?
Questions about home, work, money, food, healthcare, education, technology, consumption, community, and the systems that shape everyday life.
Revisiting things we assume we understand—history, Scripture, traditions, accepted explanations, old knowledge, and ideas that may deserve another look.
The unusual stuff. Connections, theories, patterns, mysteries, strange possibilities, and questions that don't fit neatly anywhere else. Exploring them doesn't mean believing them.
Moving from questioning to imagining alternatives—different ways to organize healthcare, education, food systems, communities, homes, work, technology, and everyday life.
HAVE A “WHAT IF . . . ?” OF YOUR OWN?
Some of the best questions begin with something that doesn’t quite make sense, an idea that won’t leave you alone, or a simple thought: What if we looked at this differently?
Have a question, theory, possibility, or rabbit hole you think is worth exploring? Send it in.
